I was just in the neighborhood looking for something new to try. I've had curry before but never Indian curry. And they were open until 10 so I thought I'd give it a shot. It was a little hard to find. The restaurant is located in a no name shopping plaza. The marquee to the restaurant is really unforgettable. If I didn't stop and look to read every sign. I might have missed it and just gone somewhere else. But I was on a mission to try it and found it. Walked into a very tiny and non busy restaurant on a Sunday evening (07/12/2015). I was seated by I'm assuming the owner of the restaurant. Told her what I wanted the minute I sat down because I've already looked over the menu online. The chicken curry was AMAZING! Perfect amount of spice and flavor. I got the bread as a side. In hindsight, I should have gotten rice instead. Server was very polite and attentive. I don't know if I'll go back just due to the location. But If I'm ever in the neighborhood again. I will definitely have to stop by again.

Namaste is a wonderful place to get Indian food in Albuquerque. My favorite dish is by far the Chicken Makhani. Dark meat chicken in a wonderful tomato based sauce is just to die for. Add that to Garlic Naan and you have a recipe for a great meal. The atmosphere is pretty casual and the place is small so large groups may not be a good idea here. They have always been friendly and the food comes out quickly.

WHERE IS THE 10 STAR BUTTON?!?!?! I really didn't think it could get better, but I was oh so wrong... If you LOVE lamb - the curry lamb is SO FRIGGIN' DELICIOUS!!!! Absolutely perfectly cooked - curry sauce straight from Heaven!!! I absolutely love this place!!

Living in Rio Rancho usually means I have to go to Albuquerque to get amazing non-chained restaurant food...but Namaste is one of a few exceptions to that rule. This place is freaking delicious and a vegetarian gold mine. Literally, everything I eat here is spot on. Usually I get the lunch buffet which is $10 and worth every penny, plus it means I get to sample various dishes. As most Indian restaurants, there are lots of vegetarian options even in the buffet, so hence why I love this place even more. Everything here is amazing so I can't even pick out a favorite dish. My advice is just eat it all :) The staff is always super friendly and attentive. I take people here that visit us from out of state, I take my family here, I even go here by myself.

Best Indian/Nepalese in ABQ hands down! These guys are the real deal and boast some wonderful dishes. I really love the kormas, all the curries and the naan. This family run establishment makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Don't judge the restaurant by the location or the strip-mall look to it. It is like stepping into a wonderful smelling blast to Nepal. Yum Yum Yum. You want adventure for your boring palate-where Italian is your "ethnic"? Shock your tongue with a touch of curry. It will be thanking you, especially if you got extra, or saved yourself some lunch for the next day. Not to be disappointed!

Service is all good at this little hole in the a wall!! Wish the food had a tad more heat. It's a nice taste of home for me!

I checked out Namaste on date night with the hubby one Friday night and we were SO IMPRESSED! I loved trying this little gem with familiar ethnic flavors! We were greeted with a friendly smile and seated right away. The restaurant has a mix of booths and tables/chairs, and is a cozy, but dated atmosphere. Looking over the menu, I was happy to see so many dishes to choose from. We ultimately decided to utilize the awesome small plate option and order several items to share. This gave the perfect amount for us both, and enough for one lunch the following day. We ordered: 1 Aloo and 1 Spinach Paratha - YUM! Small Plate - Chicken Tikka Masala - so flavorful, creamy, rich and delicious. Small Plate - Chicken Vindalu - again the savory flavor was amazing, with just enough kick to make me want to lick the bowl With the meal - Tandoori Chicken Wings - grilled, not fried or baked, with that scrumptious meat marinade. We added in a side of rice, though didn't need it with both the Parathas. Next time I'd probably do rice and give the samosas a try instead. We also indulged in the Masala Tea - I wish Starbucks would pick this up! Delicious! Even with the less than fancy decor and the outdated bathroom that was mentioned, I find it hard not to give Namaste 5 full stars. We WILL be back.

This place is a hidden gem! I love Indian food, and this is my favorite Indian restaurant. The food is delicious and flavorful (the best saag aloo you will find, and the chicken tikka masala is to die for), and the service is always friendly and attentive. The prices are very reasonable, too, and the portions are generous. Some meals come with rice and others come with naan, but they have always let us substitute one for the other (for example, if my husband and I both order dishes that come with rice or both order dishes that come with naan, they will bring us one with rice and one with naan). And if you want to add a little kick, ask to add green chile to your dish. This is the only Indian restaurant I know of that offers green chile on their menu. While I like to see traditional dishes offered, I think it's great that they are willing to add a little local flavor and it really compliments their dishes well. The menu offers a green chile chicken curry which is out of this world, but ask to add some to the tikka masala, too. :)

Hands Down Best Indian Food I've had in NM and in last 10 yrs. It brought me back to my childhood when my parents Best friends had just moved to CA from Pakistan. Vina Kapoor made Tandoori Chicken that danced in my mouth when I was 10 yrs old, I had quite the palate! Today I was reminsing about The Kapoor 's when I had lunch!! I highly recommend the Lunch Buffet as you can try many dishes and everything I had was good, hot, fresh and not dried out like some Buffet lines. The Naan was so good I ordered some Garlic Naan to bring home with some Raita. We went at 1230 and it was crowded but I hear it typically is, we were seated right away. The wait staff very attentive, everyone was there. Looking forward to trying Dinner soon!! Highly recommend :))

This is our go-to Indian restaurant and we've never been disappointed.

Although the atmosphere is much to be desired, it works. I am a bathroom nut and the bathrooms need a ton of work, as the mirrors are held together with scotch tape. That off my chest, I loved the food and the service. I am so glad Yelp exists because without it, I would NEVER had ventured in here. Excellent and we will be back.

Delicious Indian Food. Very friendly place with a great ambiance. We got the buffet which was fantastic, plenty of options of each every single one was delicious. The staff are very friendly and the price is very reasonable as well. Would highly recommend!

The lunch buffet at Namaste is a highlight of Rio Rancho dining! I've gone a few times and, at just under $10 per person, found it to be a very tasty, filling, and economical meal. The buffet has offered curried lamb or goat meat dishes, curried chickpeas, saag paneer (spinach in rich gravy like sauce that is delicious), grilled chicken thighs, curry potato chunks, meatballs, spicy chicken (tandoori?), fried bread wedges, and other side dishes & veggie dishes I don't remeber names for, and of course long grain rice. The buffet comes with a piece of naan bread brought to your table by the staff. I especially like their desserts. Their rice pudding I find quite good, although much more a "sweet milk over rice" dish than the American solid custard-based baked version. Their mango custard is a rich, extremely smooth, brightly orange colored puree with a very full, very sweet flavor. For a couple dollars more I like to have a cup of their Masala (sp?) spiced tea with the meal. The servers are extremely conscientious in topping up the cup throughout the meal. Every time I have eaten at Namaste I have found the staff to be textbook in being friendly, attentive, responsive, and alert in proactively patrolling the dining room with water/tea in hand or insuring the buffet serving pans are kept well stocked. For a very flavorful Himalayan/Indian dining experience, give Namaste in Rio Rancho a try.

  • Kellen S.

I love this place! They have a great lunch buffet and I was introduced by some coworkers. We have since made it a regular lunch outing spot in Rio Rancho. The exterior and building strip mall where it's located, leave a bit to be desired but once inside the food is OFF THE CHAIN good! My favorite dish is the spinach paneer

The staff was so welcoming and the lunch buffet delicious. I will definitely go again. I can only imagine how the dinner menu is.

Best Indian and Nepalese food in the area. Always great service and a nice atmosphere. The buffet is perfect when you just want everything and can't decide.

    (5)
  • Karen M.

Perfectly delicious food. We just wondered why we were the only ones in the place for dinner. We ordered the saag paneer, which was delicious, and the fish korma, which was good, but not my favorite. The korma had a slightly sweet flavor that I just didn't care for. If it was a bit spicier, I might have liked it better. The big issue is getting folks in the door. Their décor could use some freshening up - it's pretty outdated and weary.

  • Carolyn P.

Worth the drive a wee bit outside of ABQ for much better Indian than you can get in town. The service can be hit and miss, but the food is worth it. Highly recommend the lamb vindaloo. Feel free to ask for "more spice" and they will accommodate.

    (4)
  • Chris L.

We love Namaste! Someday we may actually order something different since we always get the chicken tikka masala. The nan is light and very good, chicken always moist and the sauce is awesome. Be sure to try the "carrot cake".

  • Joshua H.

This is the best buffet in Rio Rancho. The food is great, but more importantly the customer service is the best. I recommend tasting the green chile curry (not part of the buffet).

  • Alan L.

Had a very nice dinner here during the Balloon Fiesta. Service was very friendly and attentive, and the food was terrific. I had the best Tandoori Chicken that I have ever tasted. Really nice pieces of chicken seasoned and cooked perfectly. This place is a definite find. I wish we had a place this good in South Florida.

  • Jeff J.

One of the best Indian Restaurant to which I have been. (including in Britain) VIndaloo was the heat I requested (very hot) and was tasty with a good balance of vinegar. Lamb was tender, tasty and a generous amount for a half portion. (not too many potatoes) Wife's dish was splendid. Malai Kofta was so aromatic and tasty, with a hint of sweetness. Offering a half rice order is brilliant as well. Samosa was good and its fried skin tender. Riata was a generous portion (good thing to go with the heat of the Vindaloo) Reasonably priced, it is THE go to place for Indian in ABQ, better than anywhere.

Very good. Great service, excellent food. Went today with my husband for the lunch buffet. The bread, the fish and anything chicken curry is excellent! Will definitely be back.

A true taste of India in Rio Rancho, an excellent menu, rich flavors and warm friendly service. A must for all lovers of Indian food and culture. Always welcoming and the fare never disappoints. As an Englishman in New Mexico I was delighted to find this gem,

Welcome smiles greeted us at this comfortable Nepalese/Indian restaurant off the beaten trail of Hwy 528 in Rio Rancho, NM. It was nice to be served water and complimentary papadum when we were seated. The shrimp saag was the best we have ever tasted. Large pieces of shrimp perfectly cooked in a delicious creamy spinach sauce. The lamb kofta though good, lacked the pizzazz we found at the Taj Mahal in ABQ. The Kashmiri naan lacked any real cherries and pistachios. We will most definitely return and try the dishes from Nepal. Thanks for reading. The Bike Chaplain

We have been here three times before. The first two times were great, this third time I am stuck here waiting for over an hour writing this in the lobby. Waiting for our call ahead order that was given to another person. We asked for a free dessert and the woman rudely answered with a yes. This was not our fault. Although I'm sure the food will be worth the wait, the service is falling more and more behind. Great food though.

Love this place!! We order to go and eat inside at least twice a month. The food and service are impeccable! Hands down one of the best all around dining experiences in the Rio Rancho/Albuquerque area!

This review will be short, sweet and to the point. The food is UH-MAY-ZING and worth every star! The staff is friendly, and authentic. The food is delicious. I craved Indian food throughout my pregnancy and Namaste was sure to fulfill my cravings. Even now (non pregnant) I need to get my Saag Paneer fix and Namaste is sure to be my "pusher". Thank you for being so YUMMY

I've eaten in many restaurant of this ill, and I can appreciate, tasty authentic Indian Nepalese cuisine Go out of your way to find this obscure mall just outside Albuquerque. Service is friendly and knowledgeable. Don't miss this one

This is our absolute favorite Indian restaurant in/around Albuquerque. I am originally from England and a good curry is something I was missing until I first visited Namaste - the food here is excellent, sometimes not quite as spicy as a curry would be back in England, but pretty darn close and better than any other indian restaurant I have tried here in NM. I would recommend you try the lunch buffet so that you can try a number of their dishes and decide which heat level is right for you. My personal favorites are the vindaloo and the green chile chicken. The saag paneer (spinach & cheese) is great and their naans are very light & crunchy. On the full dinner menu (which is also available at lunchtime I understand) they have a navratan korma (vegatables in a creamy curry sauce) which is also very good. The owners are great people and are very friendly indeed. They can cater (as we did for a party of the summer) and the food was very popular - hopefully a few more people have been to the restaurant as a result of trying their curry at our party.

Close your eye's and let your taste buds take you to the foothills of the Himalayas' as your mouth erupts with flavor not found in any other indian fusion restaurant on the continent. The prices are ridiculously cheap for the superb quality of the food.. It is impossible to narrow down what exactly makes this fine establishment so good, but two of the biggest factors are extremely attentive(yet not too attentive) staff & of course the flavor they pack into every bite that rivals the most expensive big city Indian/Nepalese kitchens within thousands of miles near by.. Namaste.

  • Ashley M.

This is my guilty pleasure in New Mexico. The food is to die for. They have a lunch buffet with a rotating menu and absolutely everything is delicious. The dinner menu has a good variety and a full serving is easily at least two meals. The staff is always friendly and the hostess/owner has a great memory for faces and will greet you like you're family. Very pleasant atmosphere. Very quick take out.

Namaste is the best Indian food in Albuquerque; the staff treats you like family every time we come in. We have been happy customers for about the last 7 years!!! Love it and highly recommend it.........Must have : )

I've only been for the buffet but oh my gosh, it is amazing! I could eat this food all day everyday it is so delicious. The employees are fantastic. My water glass was never empty.

  • Bob W.

I've had Indian food all over the country, and sometimes make it myself, and this is some of the best I have had. A small hole in the wall, but great food and service. As with most Indian food places, the lunch buffet is the way to go. Worth every star. Only thing I might change is their Chicken Vindaloo. Every place makes it different, and theirs is still good, but style is a little too saucy for me. BTW, they supply naan bread, but you have to ask for papadums.

Undisputed: Taking populace into consideration, Albuquerque offers a wealth of really fantastic Indian cuisine. From India Palace to Taj Mahal to Rasoi, I've never been disappointed, and I'm often really impressed. Namaste is a Rio Rancho original, and I'm not exaggerating when I state that every bite was delicious, and occasionally so memorable I thought back on the meal again and again. I tried every offering from the lunch buffet, and here's where the place really differentiates itself from what you'll find in Albuquerque: Namaste is a vegetarian gold mine. While I enjoyed the meat options, I found myself going back to the meatless pans. The spices and flavorings are far more creative with these dishes, and nothing exemplifies this principle better than the saag paneer. Simply put, the best I've ever had. Usually, I'm just shoving the stuff down my throat because I know it's good for me. Here, I'm smothering it on everything, dipping my naan into it, bite after healthy, happy bite. The family who runs the show are sweet and very friendly, offering a bow and a "namaste" when you enter. It's a stuffy little strip mall room, so don't be surprised if there's no room: people know this community secret. Get there early. Rio Rancho has something to be very, very proud of here.

My boyfriend and I came here after hiking at the San Lorenzo Canyon and luckily for us, we made it just in time for their lunch buffet. The food was exotic, delicious, and obviously vegetarian friendly. The only weird part was that the address said this place was Southeast but it seemed more like the NW of ABQ so it was farther than we thought going to ABQ from I-25 South. Anywho it was also strange that the labels were not in English nor there wasn't a description of the foods. Moreover given that this place is vegetarian friendly, some of the food trays looked unorganized because they mixed the non-vegetarian food trays with the vegetarian ones. Other than that, I would definitely recommend for you to go here during the lunch buffet because you get to try a little bit of what they have.

Chicken curry is a must try! Excellent food, and exceptional service! One of the best restaurants on the west side.

  • alice w.

After reading about how good this place is we decided to go today for the lunch buffet. The restaurant is tricky to find! The service almost borders on hovering, but that's better than having to flag down a waiter to fill your water glass. I have to say I was disappointed in the food...it was ok, but not memorable. Sadly, the thing that IS memorable is the giant case of heartburn we both have this evening.

  • Rebecca R.

Just had the lunch buffet, wow! Start with the fluffy, savory white rice. Move on to the entrees..3 vegetarian entrees and 3 or more chicken or beef. Small salad area with the 4 or 5 different condiments. Rice pudding and mango custard for dessert. Well worth the $8.50 price. The chia is hot and plentiful I will be back again soon Oh wait forgot to mention the mixed pickled veggies...hot and sour. I'm in love Namaste

A friend and I went here for lunch based on the reviews of my fellow Yelpers. We were not disappointed!!!!! This place is a little hole in the wall, off the beaten path. I never would have found it had it not been for Yelp. The service was very attentive, especially for a buffet but the food. Oh the food!!! Everything I tried was so amazing that I could have ate my little heart out! It was a good thing I was wearing some stretchy pants when I went. All of the chicken dishes were perfectly cooked. The shrimp and vegetables were succulent. They had these fried things that were filled with potatoes and veggies that were absolutely to die for! I can't wait to go back!

The best Indian food I've ever had, can't get enough of it. Unfortunately tomorrow is my last day in ABQ:-(

I have been here many times. Best Indian food in the state! It always amazes me that 2 people can run a restaurant with 50+ people at any given time, and not miss a beat.

Best Indian food in ABQ! Kind of hidden but really tasty and authentic. Make sure to get nan (which is included). Friendly owner.

Some of the best Indian food I've had anywhere. Everything, from the tandoori to the Vindaloo, has been amazing. The Chicken Tiki Marsala is the absolute best I have EVER had!

  • Brandy L.

L-O-V-E-D it! Good food, attentive service, and did i say "good food"? We LOVE chicken tikka masala and Palak, aka Saag, and dal and we loved it here. We were surprised at how slow the place was considering the quality of the food. It is in a out of sight spot in a crusty strip mall....

Excellent Indian food and priced just right. The owners are very nice and make you feel at home in their restaurant.

I love this place but...if you look in yelp and its location it says North Valley / Corrales ... Not! Its Way Way Way up the hill in Rio Rancho...so I never go...I hate driving over there. Sigh

Really good Indian food! I have had Indian food in CA a few times at restaurants and homemade as well this place was flavorful and authentic. My only complaint was the portion size, kinda small, but next time I'll hit up the buffet! I will be back.

We have been going to Namaste for a couple of years now and it has become one of our favorite restaurants. The lunch buffet is an incredible deal and our household has coined the phrase Namaste Friday as we go every friday for lunch. If you go to their website you can see their menu and you can also see what is on the lunch buffet which is 7 days a week! If you go be sure to tell them Norm and Sandy sent ya!

Best Indian food in NM, and frankly the US. The wonderful owners are sweet and always make you feel welcome. Green Chile Chicken Curry is amazing, the local flavor mixes perfectly! They bring you fresh naan whether you're there for the lunch buffet or full menu. The buffet is extremely affordable and rotates day-to-day, check their website for details.

  • Ashley F.

I'm from Los Angeles, CA and I think this is the BEST Indian food I've ever had. I'm pretty sure that I am going to have to figure out how to ship this stuff fresh to me...it could happen! The naan was perfectly toasted, the Saag Paneer is to die for, and the shrimp version is just as tasty. The Tiki Masala is A+ as well. I think their mango custard was the biggest surprise. I thought it was going to be watery and disgusting, but it turned out to be completely out of this world. The rice pudding is nothing to shake a stick at either! The service was very good as well. More people should be coming to this place! Visit and support a great family owned restaurant. Can't wait to come back here when I visit the 505 again!

This is my favorite place to get great Indian food. I always feel welcomed while I am there, and the staff is as good as it gets. I would recommend this place to anyone, even those that say they have never had good Indian food.

Best Indian food in New Mexico period. We have eaten here dozens of times. Why? Because it is some of the best food you will find in the state and it is always that way, every single time we come in it is amazing. Just makes you happy to have such great food. Plus the people and service are beyond compare. One of my favorite places to eat anywhere in America.

Being Indian - I am very discriminating of Indian food. However - I am very fond of Namaste's authentic preparations and delightful presentation. Their service is always top-notch! I won't hesitate to recommend others in making Namaste as their dining destination.

My new favorite place for Indian food in the metro area! Warm, friendly service starts as you walk in the front door. Delicious food, well priced. Homey, unassuming atmosphere. If I can ever tear myself away from my favs, I would love to try the Nepalese options sometime!

  • Robert B.

Went to this place for dinner. Ordered the green chili curry (only in ABQ!), the mutter paneer, the paneer appetizer, and chicken tika. The chicken was amazing, but the rest was just okay. The staff and service was great! And the naan was also very good. But the curries were slightly bland compared to really flavorful Indian places i have been.

  • Ashley E.

When I used to work at HP, my co-workers and I frequented Namaste's lunch buffet. Definitely a must-do if you have a chance. The Mushroom Jalfrezzi is great as is the Saag Paneer. The naan is good too--but I just love carbs! I have tried everything they serve in their buffet and it's all super yummy. They have mango lasse and different rice puddings and fruit for dessert...not a bad deal at all!

The outside needs a little help, but don't be deceived, there's good food on the inside! Coming from Portland, Oregon to the SW can be challenging to find good Indian food. BUT..I did it. Great Lunch Buffet. Many different dishes to choose from. All hot and fresh. Service was great. I will be back!

This was my first real experience with Indian food. I went in with my sister who eats it all the time so I let her do the ordering. We took a long time deciding what we were wanting mainly since she's vegetarian and I'm not. The first waitress who was helping us seemed extremely annoyed that we weren't ready to order after she literally gave us a minute to look over the menu. I felt very rushed. After we placed our drink order and order for appetizer grey switch us to a new waiter. I don't know the exact reasoning but he was much more friendly. I tried the mango lasse to drink. It was think, creamy, and very mango-ey. I liked if bit felt weird having a smoothie with dinner. We had fried vegetables for an appetizer. Spinach, potatoes and cauliflower. I wasn't able to try the cauliflowers mainly because my sister scarfed it. I liked the potatoes best. The spinach wasn't bad but mainly tasted like batter. We had the chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, and naurutan korma. All the food was very different from what I'm used to, but it was very fun to try. My sister loved all of it so it must have been good. Overall we had a good experience, I just wish they would have been a little more friendly when we got there. The menu is several pages long and they shouldn't expect you to be ready to order so quickly. Especially since I'd never had Indian before.

  • Tricia K.

I can't believe a place as good as this exists on the Westside! I've only come at dinner time and I usually get one of the chicken tikka combo plates and switch out the vegetable and dessert (they are extremely accommodating about this). I haven't been to many indian places that serve individualized meals with a meat, vegetable and rice. As for the dessert, you MUST have the mango custard. Whenever I have it, I wish they'd give me a straw so I could just suck it up directly.

    (5)
  • Simone R.

Delicious and affordable! What more could you ask for? A pretty good introduction to Indian food for a very reasonable price. I love the Chicken Tikka Masala and garlic naan. Yumm!!

  • James H.

Coming from the bay area, I was skeptical of the yelp reviews but figure I'd give it a chance. This may have been the best Indian meal that I've had - and that's saying a lot. The chicken tikka was perfectly cooked - all white meat. The saag paneer when mixed with some raita added such amazing flavor. Service was very attentive and always smiley. Would definitely come back if I'm ever in this neck of the woods again.

Namaste is one of those treasures hidden in a strip mall...and pine I return to when I'm in the neighborhood. The service is delightful and I love everything on the lunch buffet. Always fresh since they constantly bring out hot food, so the buffet is always replenished. Their chai is a real treat! Namaste!

One of my top 3 choices to eat. Consistently perfect food and service. Nicest staff on earth.

I give them 5 stars because this is the only good rendition of Indian food (really it is a Nepali interpretation of Indian) within 100 miles. The buffet is redundant, but really good ( thanks for the heaps of paneer in the saag!) Family owned. Super nice people, & relaxed environment. Good mango lassi. Please note that I don't consider this to be a 5 star restaurant. It's just that compared w/ABQ/Rio Rancho's other Indian/Nepali restaurants, this is just as good as it gets.

Just had lunch here today! It was delicious!!! It was a very friendly environment, EXCELLENT customer service. The food was a lunch buffet, and under $10. It was so good, I really wouldn't mind going back for dinner. I have not one single dislike for this place. Loved it!!!

Went on my lunch break, found out they had a buffet, and they also had vegetarian dishes, which was a plus for me. Amazing food, tasted great, and the waiter attended to my needs well. I will definitely go back.

The food is just ok. The flavors didn't blow my mind or anything. But the service and ambiance are great. Based off reviews from other yelpers, maybe I should try the lunch buffet.

Namaste has a very sweet laid back environment. There buffet is wonderful and has a nice assortment of very well made Indian food. We have also frequented this for dinner. This is a must go to for good Indian food.

I tried the Namaste restaurant as an Alternative to the India Palace restaurant down the hill at old Coors and Alameda. I found the service to be attentive and the food was good. The onion Na'an bread was good and crisp. The Tikka Marsala seemed a bit on the watery side. The flavored specialty iced teas they serve are excellent. It's good if you are looking for a lunch buffet. Prices are fair for the food you get, but are exceptional with the service you receive. I really, really want to see this restaurant succeed but feel the overly-franchise-loving Rio Rancho folk aren't ready for it. I plan on patronizing this restaurant more to keep it going. It's a local gem.

If you want to eat really good Indian food, this is the place to go. I've tried all the Indian restaurants in Albuquerque area and this is BEST! (Believe me, I'm from India and know my taste well.)

Very tasty northern Indian and Nepalese dishes; truly outstanding service. External location not promising, but inside is warm and friendly. Lunch buffet is a true bargain; use of local ingredients (green chili chicken) appreciated. Highly recommended.

After traveling to Nepal a couple years ago my husband and I have been trying to find some tasty Nepali/Indian food to no avail until we found Namaste. The family who owns the restaurant are from one of the towns we visited, Pokhara. Everything I have tried here is wonderful. Order family style so you can have a taste of everything.Only place in town where I have found momos... and they are delicious. All the curries are great. Also, I recommend the garlic naan. The waitstaff are very friendly and helpful. One of my all-time favorites.

Can't get enough of that lunch buffet! Absolutely amazing and you can't beat the price. They also serve beer :) I recommend going on Saturday Sunday or Monday because that's when the have the fried fish. Make sure to pair it up with the dressing on the salad bar that looks like ranch. Mmm

Excellent Indian cousin. We have eaten there many times. I think we will visit them again soon. One of the best Indian food I have had in a restaurant. Almost homemade!

While visiting a friend in Albuquerque, NM I had the opportunity to enjoy the lunch buffett at Namaste. I have eaten Indian food at many restaurants all over the country and this one was the best. The food, service, and price were all excellent. Even though we got there five minutes before the buffett ended and all the luch customers were gone we weren't rushed or told it was too late. There was a wide variety of dishes to choose from. They also had a couple of American dishes on the buffett. I would go back to ABQ just to eat there...:-) PS...it was my first time in New Mexico and I loved it!!!!

Definitely an authentic Indian place. Quick service, nice ambiance, good food.... what else do you need? My only suggestion for improvement would be to have the waitstaff slow down. Its a little nerveracking when youre trying to enjoy your dinner when a waiter is tearing past you asking hellosirwouldyoulikeanotherglassofwaterokbrb... it was a friday night though. Maybe another waiter would help with this. Nice family owned place though. A bit hard to find (behind hot tamales on 528) but worth it!

A lovely restaurant tucked in a small strip mall. The staff was friendly, efficient, attentive and professional. Even the seats were comfortable. I ordered half size saag paneer, vegetable korma and vegetable momos. Each dish tasted fresh and very flavorful. The paneer was a little tough for my liking but not a problem. Not your usual mediocre cheap Indian fare despite the affordable prices. I recommend it.

I love coming here for the lunch buffet. The food is delicious, and the servers are welcoming and attentive. Plus, I just love being able to get up and get my food right after being seated. ;) The buffet itself has a pretty decent selection of Indian dishes, and it comes with a side of naan as well. The dinner here, of course, is good too. But the lunch buffet is definitely a much better deal in terms of price.

If you like Indian food, you will love their buffet. They always have a good variety of dishes, everything is delicious, and you cannot beat the price. The service is friendly and attentive every time. They never let a drink get low. There's not much else to say except that I highly recommend trying this restaurant! One of my local favorites.

Always pleasant service. Good standard items on the lunch buffet but they do change it up a bit. Friday and Monday is Vindaloo....spicey & delish! Excellent chai. Sometimes they have special holiday buffets with Nepalese rather than Indian choices. Great lunch stop.
